Carat is a paper-backed abrasive for finishing as well as heavy stock removal. The durable aluminum oxide grain delivers a fast, long lasting cut. It features a high strength resin bonded system with B, D and E-weight backings that are 30-40% stronger than competitive brands using A-weight backings. Carat is made with an anti-load stearate to provide increased life. Carat is the best all-around value priced performance product that can be used for many purposes. Designed for dry sanding applications, the semi-open grit coating and special stearate prevent clogging and pill forming on the abrasive surface. Coarser grits recommended for: sanding of putty removing lacquer Finer grits suitable for: dry sanding of surfaces with primer and lacquer Available in discs, sheets and rolls with PSA or Grip attachment.
